Günther Dorrer
Management & organization
After studying civil engineering at the Vienna University of Technology, Günther Dorrer began his professional career at MCE GmbH in Linz in 1997. He went through several positions in the company before taking over management of the bridge construction division in 2006. Since July 2022 he has been responsible for all technical matters of the company as managing director.
Hubert Pleiner
Hubert Pleiner is commercial manager of the MCE GmbH
Hubert Pleiner has been part of the HABAU GROUP since 2012. He was the commercial director at ÖSTU-STETTIN in Leoben until 2015. After five years as the head of Group accounting and taxes for HABAU at the Perg headquarters, Mr. Pleiner took over the commercial management of MCE on 1 April 2020.

Steelwork company MCE GmbH is divided into the business units of bridge construction and structural steel plants. In addition to the headquarters in Linz, it also features branches in Bremen and Mainz in Germany, Toulouse in France and Seville in Spain. MCE Nyíregyháza in Hungary and MCE Slaný in Czech Republic are wholly owned subsidiaries of MCE GmbH.

MCE Nyíregyháza

Our subsidiary in Nyíregyháza has collaborated on over 125 bridge construction projects since 1989. Its close to 150 employees implement road, railway and pedestrian bridges as well as pipe and cable bridges. Using state-of-the-art cutting methods and semi-automated welding techniques, the factory in the north-east of Hungary produces constructions and base frames for structural steelwork and energy technology. The highly qualified assembly personnel is active globally for the entire MCE operations, for example providing their technical support for the Adomi bridge in Ghana.
Subsidiaries

MCE Slany

The Czech town of Slaný has been home to an MCE branch since 1991. The company, located to the north-west of Prague, constructs and assembles steel bridges for road, railway and pedestrian traffic. The production facility, which covers almost 17,000 square metres, is equipped with the very latest technology for heavy welded constructions. Alongside components for hydraulic steel structures, the plant also manufactures transformer housings and accessories for the energy industry. In addition to the production area, Slaný is also where the MCE Quality Service Centre is to be found. This is where non-destructive material testing is carried out.
